Go Green Certified Organic Spirulina

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

———-

How many of you use imitation substances everyday in the pursuit for supreme vitality? I am talking about vitamins, minerals and so called healthy hearty meal replacements. You must comprehend that until recently the human species has eaten only wholesome natural foods. When refined food or artificial substances are ingested, the body robs itself of nutrients to make these products to appear complete this eventually leads to deficiencies.

Are you aware that 70 mg. of vitamin C ingested in the form of broccoli, parsley, or Spirulina may fortify immunity more powerfully then 700mg. of synthetic vitamin C? Studies show that barely 10% of synthetic vitamin C is assimilated in contrast to vitamin C in these green plants mentioned above. There is nothing healthier for healthy vital immune system than natural whole complete food.

Look at impressive natural green food Spirulina called “Food of the future” for example.

Spirulina is microscopic, multicellular, filamentous blue-green algae that strives naturally in warm alkaline fresh water lakes (32 to 45 degrees) and has even survived in temperatures of 60 degrees C.

The superiority of Spirulina to grow in hot and alkaline environments ensures its hygienic status, as no other organisms can carry on to taint the waters in which this algae prospers. Spirulina is in fact one of the cleanest, most naturally sterile food found in nature.

Its adaptation to heat also assures that Spirulina maintains its nutritional value when subjected to higher temperatures at some point of the drying process not like many plant foods that swiftly deteriorate at higher temperatures.

Spirulina used for human consumption is grown on distinctively designed spirulina farms rather then harvested from a natural environment.

Spirulina is abundant in fundamental mineral Magnesium- essential to all cells of all known living organisms. Green food-vegetables offer magnesium because the centre of the chlorophyll molecule contains magnesium.

poor magnesium intake often causes muscle to twitch and has been associated with cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety disorders and osteoporosis.

Spirulina is abundant in beta-carotene and other carotenoids. 100 grams of Spirulina delivers 250.00 IU of Vit A in comparison to 28.000 IU in100 grams off carrots!

Spirulina is high in Chlorophyll and blue pigment phycocyanin, a biliprotein .The rich levels of Chlorophyll and Phycocyanin in Spirulina may explain its ability to hold back cancer colonies from arising

Spirulina has the potential to stimulate natural killer cells and similar anti-immune components of the immune system that can help to wrestle cancer cells. Furthermore, these spirulina-stimulated killer cells can prevent health conditions other than cancer, ranging from the common cold to HIV.

I think if they could patent Spirulina or the Phycocyanin chemical, turn it into a drug and microscopically inject it into tumors; they would have a cure for breast cancer right there. (http://www.newstarget.com/011901-05.html)

There is pharmacological proof of cancer prevention with plants, herbs and food that burst with high levels of Chlorophyll, perhaps because pigments in green vegetables- algaes merge with cancer forming cells and thus stimulate excretion of cancer-causing chemicals. What is amazing about Chlorophyll is that it is cleansing, purifying, detoxifying and accelerates liver rejuvenation

For instance the Japanese are recognized for the use of Spirulina for medicinal purposes (cancer fighter) for years. And these days Western medicine is after all taking note of Spirulina’s anti-cancer benefits. Interestingly, Spirulina has been used in Russia to to take care of the victims, especially children, of the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl. In these children, whose bone marrow had been injured from radiation exposure, Spirulina seemed to boost up the immune system.

Spirulina offers plentiful amounts of immune stimulating nutrients such as fatty acid GLA, beta-carotene and chlorophyll. GLA is also extremely efficient for weight reduction (speeds up metabolism) and inflammatory conditions such as eczema and arthritis, regulates brain function, nerve impulses and insulin (therefore beneficial in diabetes). A standard 10-gram dosage of Spirulina provides 131 mg of GLA Spirulina is the best wholesome food source of GLA other then human milk.

generous in protein- Spirulina is up too 68% protein. It has marvellous capacity to synthesize high-quality concentrated food more supremely than any other algae.

What is absolutely amazing about Spirulina is that three(3) grams (one heaped tsp of powder) of Spirulina is equal to 36 grams of beef, which is slightly more then one ounce.

If you consume 6-9grams (2-3 heaped tsp of powder)of Spirulina daily it will supply you with protein equivalent of two-three ounces of meat.

According to standard nutritional test, the digestive absorption of the protein in Spirulina is four times better then that in Beef. Since Spirulina supplies about 3x more protein then beef, larger absorption means, that 12x more protein is supplied from algae than from the matching weight of beef.

Those of you who are experiencing challenges digesting protein or choose not to wolf down protein source from the animal kingdom, then Spirulina is a fantastic contributor for making sure you are getting high quality protein assimilated into your body. what is more it delivers vitamin B-12 and other B-vitamins. These are the vitamins that most people are commonly lacking in. Vegetarians-Vegans especially tend to miss out on getting enough vitamin B-12 since this particular vitamin is not normally easy to get from the plant kingdom.

By supplementing the Spirulina, you can steer clear from any nutritional lack of of the B-vitamin area

Spirulina is accessible commercially in powder, capsules, tablets, flakes and even as broth.

Mens Vitamins - Learn Which Key Nutrients Every Man Needs

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Because of the great biological demands on a man’s body, it is essential to consider using some formulation of men’s vitamins. First, it is important to understand that the word vitamin these days is used interchangeably to refer to not only vitamins, but also minerals, phytonutrients, amino acids, enzymes, herbs and a whole host of other specialty nutritional supplements.

Because each gender has their own set of nutritional and metabolic needs, it is vital that men choose vitamins specifically designed for them. Males require a number of specialty nutrients that just are not available from diet alone. Because of this, it important to choose a men’s vitamin that meets all of your nutritional needs.

Key Nutrients:

In men’s health, the main concerns include enlarged prostate, prostate cancer and gynomastia (enlarged breast tissue). As a man ages, they creates less testosterone, furthermore, a large share of the testosterone they do produce is converted to estrogen. Because of this, their breast tissue might begin to enlarge and they may see a decrease in libido. Many of the pharmaceutical drug therapies used to counteract the effects of this hormone reduction can cause very serious side effects, the most severe being accelerated growth in undetected prostate cancer and liver dysfunction.

One natural way to combat hormonal problems is to make sure the men’s vitamins you are taking include the bioflavonoid (isoflavone) Chrysin, a plant extract, which naturally helps inhibit testosterone conversion to estrogen. It is important to use a supplement that has a chrysin potency of 90 percent or higher. Chrysin is an expensive ingredient so most supplements contain it at paltry potencies and tiny dose amounts. Avoid these products.

Zinc is another important component of the mens vitamin supplement you choose. This powerful nutrient has proven positive effects on prostate health. The most common form of zinc used in supplements is citrate. While this form is beneficial, your men’s vitamins should contain a healthy dose of zinc aspartate. Why? Because zinc aspartate travels directly to the prostate.

The phytonutrient Quercetin also helps to protect against prostate cancer. It contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties to block male hormones that encourage cancer cell growth. The other well-known and effective prostate nutrients that must be in your men’s vitamin supplement are:

• Beta Sitosterol
• Corn Silk Extracts
• Lycopene
• Saw Palmetto
• Resveratrol

When considering other key components of men’s vitamins, vitamins and minerals are of course important, but in low doses, and only to fill in nutrient gaps missing in your normal diet. If a large percentage of your supplement is made up of large doses of vitamins and minerals then you’re not getting good value for the money. Vitamins and minerals are the cheapest ingredients in supplements!

Other key components of a quality supplement are:

• Phytonutrients
• Standardized medicinal herbs
• Amino acids
• Standardized enzymes
• Cofactors
• Trace elements
• Male and Female support nutrients
• Special immunity enhancers

Good health starts with a strong immune system. This is your first line of defense against cancer and other major disease. In order to keep your immunities up it is important to have a variety of powerful boosters in your men’s health supplements, including polysaccharides, alpha lipoic acid, turmeric, vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene, vitamin B6, calcium and manganese.

Things To Look For When selecting a Quality Mens Vitamin Supplement:

The first thing to check is that all herbs are standardized. This will guarantee the potency and amount of active ingredients in the supplement you purchase. Many products avoid using standardized extracts because they are considerably more expensive.

To ensure that the product is safe, pure and potent, all unprocessed materials must be sourced from Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) registered and audited facilities and all ingredients must have a Certificate of Analysis (COA) to confirm their potency. These should be freely available to any consumer who requests them and their must be a confirmed paper trail proving the source of all ingredients.

In addition, supplement companies must test all raw materials prior to manufacture for compliance with the COA and for microbiological contamination. Finally, be sure the product does not contain artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, fillers or binders, as well as potential allergenic substances such as lactose, gluten, wheat and yeast.

A quality vitamin supplement for men containing all the nutrients mentioned above provides an excellent foundation for your preventative health regime as well as for treating existing health conditions. By taking steps to ensure that a supplement is manufactured in accordance with the criteria listed in this article and has a competitive price, you can feel confident that you are using a highly efficious and safe product which offers excellent value for money.

Cancer

The Crab

Modality: Cardinal
Element: Water
Ruler: the Moon
Season: Summer
4th Sign of Zodiac

Metal: Silver
Stone: Pearl, Opal
Color: White, Yellow
Anatomy: Breasts, stomach

Keywords: gentle, conservative, feeling, nurturing, defensive, contemplative.

Comparison with the Cancer symbol, the Crab:
A crab is able to walk or run sideways. Similarly, Cancer natives can sometimes "move about" in life, in a figurative sense, in an indirect manner. The crab's body is covered by a carapace (shell). Cancer natives are self-protective and sensitive, and often retreat into themselves when hurt. Crabs are able to resist changes in the environment, thereby protecting themselves from hostile elements in various habitats. Similarly, Cancer natives are thought to avoid too much change, and to be on the defensive. Crabs have "complex behavior patterns" (1). The inner world of Cancer natives is thought to be rather quirky and complex.

Tattoo idea question plz help?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

My dad was told he had cancer back in March and seeing as i felt useless I been thinking of getting a tattoo cause for one he and I are close anyhow…my idea for it is the cancer ribbon with his name on it or something along those lines but a few ppl say the ribbon is just a symbol for breast cancer and seeing as my dads cancer is not breat cancer it would not fit…so what are your thoughts about the whole adding the ribbon…any other ideas are welcomed thanks!!

Different causes have different ribbons. I actually thought about adding a lung cancer ribbon to a tattoo idea for my grandmother, but apparently the lung cancer ribbon is pearl, which doesn't take well in ink form.

Best wishes for your father.

What are the best and least expensive pink flowers for mother's day?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

I donated to a breast cancer organization for my mother and my aunt's mother's day gifts. To not just hand them a piece of paper, I had the idea of also getting them pink flowers. Which ones should I be looking for that are inexpensive yet beautiful for mother's day?
I could spare some cash but I gave up most of my money on the donation for both women……

The least expensive would be a bouquet of carnations. They are the cheapest flower, generally.

However, for the same price you could probably get a stargazer (a huge white and pink lily), and even just one of those is magnificent and beautiful and they smell heavenly!

But I also wanted to say good for you on donating your money. I know you didn't do it for accolades, but it was a very generous thing to do. =)

I want a serious relationship with a man who has lost his wife to cancer or has had it himself.Am I crazy?????

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

I am being 100% sincere. I am a single breast cancer survivor who would like to break out of the dark and lonely place where I'v been for the past 2 years and claim this 2nd. gift of life that I've been given. However, I don't see how I could ever REALLY connect with someone who has not been through the experience himself. I know that I am now a more giving and compassionate person and while I am basically happy, I know that I am not complete. What about you?Do you get what I'm saying? I have had cancer 3 times now myself, and I lost my husband to cancer. So, I've been on both sides of a hospital bed, and I know first hand what you are most likely going through yourself. Like it or not, we are now members of a club that we'd had no intentions of joining, I can't help but think that we could be a tremendous help to eachother, and perhaps a whole lot more. I don't stay in bed all day anymore. and I have developed a lovely sense of humor which can only be understood…well, you know.!??

Please - don't limit your prospects or you might miss the PRIZE of your life.

Speaking as the "healthy" wife of a stroke victim. I am so grateful that he did not look for a woman with a stroke, a speech impairment, a mobility impairment, or any other type of impairment brought on by his stroke.

Yes - my husband has been through the refiner's fire of stroke and he teaches me so much. He is wise, strong, determined, hopeful and humble. I cannot begin to understand what he went through but I love the man it made of him.

I too have come through the refiner's fire of life and abuse. I am also a strong contributing member of this relationship and I know that he appreciates the strengths I bring to our marriage. He does not begin to understand what I went through but he loves the woman my trials made of me.

We have learned compassion by hardship and terror. We are equally yoked - yet very, very different in our strengths.

Check out our story.

I have breast cancer stage 2b. What foods should I avoid. I had UTI due to certain foodsauce that I have eaten?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

Jay S is right on about avoiding sugar and through some research I have done for my wife’s stage 2b cancer (4.78 cc right breast with detection in her lymph nodes) here are some foods to eat–

Cabbage, garlic, green tea, and citrus products.

Sugar is not very good to combat cancer, drink plenty of water especially if you will be using chemotherapy.

Wife just had a mastectomy and she will be taking another chemo drug (taxol) and then radiation treatments.

Her lab report after her mastectomy noted cancer in her breast at 5mm and lymph nodes 8mm.

Her Oncologist is very pleased so far with her treatments.

The fear of the operation was greater than the actual operation. FYI

I have a friend with Stage 1 breast cancer and she had the lump removed she choose the radiation option ?

Tuesday, December 30th, 2008

She undergoes radation therapy 5 days a week for 6 weeks. My question is how sick will she become under this choice of radiation therapy.

I just completed the same course of radiation treatment a few weeks ago. I didn’t get sick at all. I didn’t get tired at all. I exercised 1/2 hour each day, ate normally, maintained my weight, and only became slightly pink in the radiated area.

Extremely important: get some 100% pure aloe vera gel. Fruit of the Earth is a good brand, CVS pharmacy has a generic version too. Clear not green gel. Get her a big bottle of it and make sure she puts it on immediately AFTER her treatment, and 8 hours after that, and 8 hours after that. 3x per day. That’s what I did and I sailed through the treatment.

You can find different categories and there are women in your situation. You can ask questions, vent anything you feel like.
Check it out. and good luck to you.
